And the rewards in rivals are *very poor* in my opinion. So once I'm done rivals I generally have little reason to play now. I'm an older gamer, I'm probably not going to get much better so it is what it is.

Just feels like we are punished for that.

If you are a mediocre player I'd advise against it. WL is for people who are good and want to play really good opposition. Once I get that (1 more win) I won't be doing it again for the next swap card batch. I was only trying it for the Icon swap card. Obviously the mode isn't for me as I'm not good enough. 6-9 record and most of those losses I was totally destroyed (5-0, 6-0, 7-0 type scorelines) so it's hard to stay interested when you are getting smashed regularly. I played my first WL this FIFA and the experience is the worst I've ever had. I am ok with Rivals as the games are balanced. This feels like a repeat of the division dropping fatigue I suffered from in the last FIFA and was the reason I quit last time. This clearly isn't happening so there is little motivation to engage. All I ask for is reasonably matched opponents.

I don't play the online friendly objectives due to the open match making which gives me nothing to play for (opponents are regularly far too good to have any chance). Getting the 7 wins in Rivals is harder now (because I am in the division where I belong, currently 3-3-1 record) but after that there is really nothing to play for. I just had enough of it.īut the current format really doesn't keep me engaged for long. In all honesty, that's why I quit last FIFA around April. I love the fact they put checkpoints in to stop the division droppers from spoiling the game.
